The use of this site implies to all our customers to have acquainted with the conditions of its use and the general conditions of sale.  The same applies to the terms of payment.  Its use implicitly implies that our customers have accepted them.

These general conditions can be modified at any time, according to the evolution of the applicable rules or commercial needs. In all cases, the final validation of the order implies the acceptance of these terms and conditions. This validation is worth signature and express acceptance of all operations carried out on the site. To be taken into account, an order and the payment of this one must be carried out by an adult person.

Our offices, showrooms, and storage hall are located in Wauthier-Braine, in Walloon Brabant, near Brussels.

Our teams speak several languages.  We therefore invite you to select on the LIGHT website PASSION™ the language of your choice among the following languages: French, Dutch and English.

For the processing of your order, its follow-up and any other communication, we will use the language you have selected.

Products and Services offered by the LIGHT PASSION™ website 

Our main offer is to offer you exceptional lighting fixtures.

You will find collections of indoor and outdoor lighting fixtures and other products related to light and its control. 

Your orders will be accepted with reserve and executed according to our possibilities.

A written confirmation of your order will be sent to you by e-mail.  However, if you do not find our confirmation, we invite you to check the email address provided when you opened your account and/or your junk mail.  If despite all your manipulations, you still have not received confirmation, we invite you to contact us directly via one of the means of contact mentioned above.

We ask you to remember that the colors of the images of the products presented on our LIGHT site PASSION™ may, at times, slightly differ from the actual colors of the products.  Their appearance may also vary from one computer medium to another.

Prices and Currencies

HUGO NEUMANN NV reserves the right to change the price of a product if it is incorrect (typing error, supplier error, modification by the supplier, etc.) but will notify the customer as soon as possible before finalizing the order.

It is always specified next to the prices mentioned on our website if they are VAT included or not.

Orders are always invoiced VAT included except for shipments outside the EU or for customers with a valid VAT number outside Belgium. In the latter cases, the customer is not liable for VAT.

Prices are quoted in EURO, the official European currency.

Reservation of title and method of delivery

The goods, goods and services delivered remain the property of HUGO NEUMANN NV until the invoices have been paid in full.

When you place an order as a customer and choose to pick up your order at our offices, you are expected to pick it up within a maximum of 1 month.  This period starts from the time when all the products ordered are ready at our facilities. We will send you an e-mail when your order is complete and ready to be picked up.

When you place an order as a customer and choose to have your order delivered, we ask for full payment before shipping your products. Your order will be reserved 1 month in our warehouse. This period runs from the moment all products ordered are ready in our warehouse. We will also send you an e-mail when your order is complete and ready for pick-up.

If you do not pick up your order or do not pay for your order within 1 month, we reserve the right to put the products you ordered back in stock and to cancel the order.

Delivery times and transport

Delivery times are given as an indication only.

The delivery time may be extended for reasons specific to the manufacturers or for any other reason beyond our control.

Products of the "artisanal" type, made to order, require a longer delivery time than an industrial product.

We do our best to ensure that you get the best product and that it meets all your expectations.

If, despite our best efforts, your order does not arrive after 12 weeks, we offer you the possibility to cancel it.

Our professional customers do not have this right to cancel an order. 

We draw your attention to the fact that for all orders and deliveries outside the European Union, customs duties and other taxes inherent to your domicile will be charged to you.

These entry fees, customs duties and other national taxes are always charged to the customer.

For all our shipments outside Belgium, the customer is obliged to declare his purchase to the national recycling authorities.

Under no circumstances does HUGO NEUMANN NV act as an exporter of goods and you, as the customer, as the importer of these goods.

HUGO NEUMANN NV cannot under any circumstances be held liable for local and/or national recycling fees for shipments outside Belgium.

Payments and refunds

Payments, refunds and invoicing are always made in euros or pounds sterling in case of delivery in Great Britain.

For refunds, the original amount is always refunded in the currency in which the payment was made (i.e. Euro or Pound Sterling). We accept no liability for any exchange rate fluctuations that may occur between the time of purchase/payment and the time of refund.

The non-payment of an invoice on its due date entails the immediate due date of all invoices, even those not yet due, and authorizes us, moreover, to suspend or cancel all current orders.

Any invoice unpaid on its due date shall automatically and without prior formal notice incur conventional interest at the rate of 10% per year. Conventional damages of 10% of the invoice amount are also payable. Only the courts of the district of Nivelles are competent in the event of a dispute.

Right of withdrawal - Return

As a consumer, you are entitled to the legal cooling-off period of 14 calendar days. This period begins the day after delivery of your order.

If you make use of this right, you must return the goods received as soon as possible and no later than 14 days after informing our customer service department of your decision to cancel the purchase.

Before returning your product, we ask you to contact our customer service department by e-mail so that we can coordinate the return. You will then receive a specific document that will allow us to process the return of your product to our offices in the best possible way. The withdrawal and return procedure is explained in more detail in the present general terms and conditions, in the following section.


An item is accepted in return only if it meets our specific return conditions. Failure to do so may result in a refusal of the return.

The products must be in perfect condition, intact and in their original packaging, which must also be in perfect condition. The products may not show any trace of use, they can only be examined as would be done in a physical store, without damaging the packaging and interior protections. If you install, damage the inner packaging and protections or use the product anyway, it means that you accept it and no returns will be accepted.

Once you have received your return documents after consulting our customer service department, you have 14 calendar days to return the product to us.


The right of withdrawal does not apply to products made to measure for the customer, custom-made work or products clearly intended for a specific person. Cables with specific dimensions, special finishes, modifications of a component are part of the products made to order and will not be taken back.

The right of withdrawal does not apply to used, damaged or incomplete items.

The European right of revocation does not apply to professional customers (i.e. customers who have a company name and/or VAT number) and/or who register on our site as a professional customer with our specific pricing policy.

The European right of revocation only applies to orders shipped to the 28 EU member states as well as to the following countries: Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway.

Procedure for withdrawal and return of goods

Scrupulously respect the following steps if you wish to retract and return your package.

Inform us by e-mail or via the dedicated form of your wish to return the purchased product within 14 days of receipt of your order. Always mention your customer number, the invoice number and the references of the products you intend to return to us. Once the return document has been received by our customer service department, you have 14 working days to return the package to us. You do not need to justify your decision.  However, if you wish, we would be happy to read your justifications so that we can, if possible, improve our services.

You are responsible for any damage and/or loss during return transport.

SA HUGO NEUMANN NV accepts no liability in this respect.

If you are making a return from outside the European Union, please always use a company that specializes in courier and logistics services (e.g. UPS, FEDEX, TNT, DHL, ...).  You cannot use postal services.

If you still use a post office, you will be held responsible for all customs formalities and costs involved.

Once your package has been received by our logistics department, we will check as soon as possible whether the product meets the return conditions and inform you of our decision by e-mail. If the return conditions have been met, the full amount of your order will be refunded to your account.

Please note: we only refund the purchase price and delivery costs (if applicable). The shipping costs for returning the product are always at your expense.

If the product is slightly different from our return conditions (i.e. if the product can still be resold), the return can be accepted. In this case, however, you may be charged a fee due to the reduced value of the product.

If you wish to exchange the product, or if the return of the order is refused after verification by our services, we can return the product to you at your expense with a transport company. If the refused return is still in our store after 14 calendar days, you will be informed by email that the product is no longer under our responsibility. From that moment on, a storage fee of 25€/month may be charged.


Within 14 days of being informed of your decision to cancel the purchase, we will refund the price of the product, including shipping costs, if our return conditions are fully respected.  We reserve the right to wait for the return of your package to carry out the usual checks.

Warranty and limitation of liability 

As a general rule, the customer is responsible for the installation, in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations.  Electrical installation must be carried out by an approved installer to comply with these recommendations and not lose the warranty. If you are experiencing difficulties with the installation of your fixtures, we can offer you an installation service and help you as soon as possible.  This service is available in Belgium and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.  For this purpose, we have selected electrical and lighting installation companies to serve you with all the necessary precautions. We invite you to contact us if you are interested in this service.

Most of our articles sold benefit from the legal guarantee of conformity, the legal guarantee of hidden defects and the manufacturer's guarantee, the scope and duration of which differ according to the products and brands/designers.

Whatever the problem encountered by the customer regarding the purchased product, the customer must imperatively join, with the defective product, a copy of the invoice and/or the warranty card of the product (delivered with the product). Warning, the warranty does not apply to the repair of damage resulting from a cause external to the product sold (eg accident, shock, lightning, current fluctuation, replacement of consumables such as batteries, bulbs, fuses, ...) or a fault of the customer resulting from a use or installation not conforming to manufacturer's specifications, use detrimental to the proper conservation of the device, the use of peripherals, accessories or consumables unsuitable ...

We therefore invite you to carefully consult the instructions for use supplied with the products. In case of products that do not comply with the information given when the products are presented on the site or have hidden defects, these products will be replaced or refunded depending on the availability of similar products and the will of the customer.

In the event that the product should be exchanged, we will proceed to send the new package when the package to be exchanged has been received in return.

The guarantee will not cover products damaged during misuse.

HUGO NEUMANN SA cannot be held liable for damage to equipment or installations due to weather conditions such as storms, snow, hail, water infiltration, lightning, force majeure, etc. The customer shall not be liable for damage to equipment or installations due to weather conditions such as storms, snow, hail, water, lightning, force majeure, etc.; breakdowns caused by overvoltage in the power supply system; breakdowns caused by improper connection of equipment and cables by the customer; wear and tear or breakdowns due to negligent maintenance, overheating due to the use of a bulb or halogen lamp that is too powerful; indirect costs caused by the decommissioning of the defective item.

All returned products MUST be complete and include ALL original packaging, all manuals and other accessories, and all manufacturer's documentation.


Any complaint must reach us by registered mail, within 5 working days following the delivery. After this period, the goods are considered to be approved. Packaging material must be retained for inspection. If the customer refuses to accept the goods, they will be stored at the customer's risk and expense until full payment is received.

Within 5 working days of receipt of the complaint, the purchaser will be informed of the period within which a proposal for a solution of the dispute will be made to him.

Personal Data

We do not keep a separate database of people who simply visit our website. However, the data of visitors who place orders via www.LIGHTPASSION.be are of course recorded. This data is necessary to ensure the administrative and correct processing of the order. 

You have the right to consult and possibly modify this personal data at any time.  

You have the right, upon written request - dated and signed - accompanied by proof of your identity, and without any additional cost, if it is a reasonable amount, to obtain written communication of the personal data concerning you and, if necessary, the correction of those that are inaccurate, incomplete or irrelevant.

You also have the right to object to the use of your personal data for direct marketing purposes. To do so, please contact the person responsible for processing personal data by post.

Applicable Law - Competent Courts

The present conditions are subject to and governed by Belgian law. In the event of a dispute, the customer should first contact HUGO NEUMANN SA to obtain an amicable solution. Failing this, only the courts of the judicial district of Nivelles are competent, regardless of the place of delivery and the methods of payment accepted.
